Technical specifications (TS) are technical requirements of the power transmission organization compliance with which is necessary for connection of the facility to the power grids. Specifications are an essential annex to the Agreement on connection.
IKNET Company provides services for obtaining the optimal TS for connection of the Customer’s facility to external power grids.
Specialists of the company carry out an analysis of the existing electricity networks in the location area of the Customer’s facility to determine the optimal option for the facility connection to the power grids.

TS connection variant

With aim to obtain the agreement on connection and technical specification it is necessary to submit to the power transmission organization an application on the facility connection, which includes the following information: data about the customer, capacity of the facility, schedule of the capacity commissioning, operation mode, etc.

The following documents shall be annexed to the application:

  • Site layout plan and extract from the topographic and geodesic plan with scale of 1:2000 where shall be specified the facility location;
  • A copy of the document, which confirms the ownership or right for object use, or, in case of object's absence, a copy of the document which confirms the ownership or right for land lot use;
  • A copy of power of attorney authorizing a person to enter into agreements.

Structure of the Technical Specification

Depending on the type of connection of the facility to the power grids, there are several kinds of Technical Specifications:

STANDARD CONNECTION

Connection of the Customer’s facility with the following parameters:

  • load up to 160 kW inclusive;
  • 300 meters in a straight line distance to the existing networks belonging to the power transmission orgaStandart connectionnization.

Responsibilities of the Customer:

  • Application for connection;
  • Payment of the connection fee.

Responsibilities of the power transmission organisation:

  • Preparation and issuing of technical specifications;
  • Construction, installation and commissioning works (to the joining point of Customers electrical installations);
  • Putting the facility into operation.

Funding:
100% of the Customer’s funds in the form of fee for connection.

NON-STANDARD CONNECTION

Connection of the Customer’s facility that has one of the following parameters:

  • the load exceeds 160 kW;
  • more than 300 meters in a straight line distance to the existing networks belonging to the power transmission organization;
  • voltage level in the connection point is different from the power providing point.

As well as connection of the electrical installations, intended for the production of electrical energy, regardless of the installed capacity, is a non-standard fitting.

Responsibilities of the Customer:

  • Application for connection;Non-standart connection
  • Development and coordination of construction documents (the construction of the linear part of connection);
  • Execution of construction works to the point of joining the facility;
  • Payment of the connection fee.

Responsibilities of the power transmission organisation:

  • Preparation and issuing of requirement specification for the design and technical specifications;
  • Development and coordination of project documentation (except the linear part of connection);
  • Construction, installation and commissioning works and putting the facility into operation to the Customer's joining point.

Funding:
100% of the Customer’s funds in the form of fee for connection (taking into account the extraction of the Customer's costs of project works).
