    Located in Riverside County, California, BAM is a portfolio of BESS with a capacity of 812 MW and 3,248 MWh, commissioned in 2025. It is integrated with NextEra's solar projects and enables shifting energy from daytime to evening hours for the California grid (CAISO).

  3. Nova Power (USA, California, 680 MW)

    Located in California, Nova Power is a stand-alone BESS with a capacity of 680 MW and 2,720 MWh, commissioned in 2025. Developed by Calpine, it supplies energy to Southern California Edison and others.

  4. Collie Battery (Australia, 560 MW)

    Located in Collie, Western Australia, Collie Battery has a capacity of 560 MW and 2,240 MWh, commissioned in July 2025. Developed by Neoen, it has two phases for grid stabilization.

  5. Desert Sunlight BESS (USA, California, 530 MW)

    Located in California, Desert Sunlight BESS has a capacity of 530 MW and 2,120 MWh, commissioned in 2024. Developed by NextEra, it is the company's third largest BESS.

  6. Bisha BESS (Saudi Arabia, 500 MW)

    Located in Asir Province, Saudi Arabia, Bisha BESS has a capacity of 500 MW and 2,000 MWh, commissioned in 2024. Developed by Saudi Electric Company with BYD batteries, it is optimized for desert conditions.

  7. Huadian Xinjiang Kashgar BESS (China, Xinjiang, 500 MW)

    Located in Kashgar, Xinjiang, Huadian Xinjiang Kashgar is a stand-alone BESS with a capacity of 500 MW and 2,000 MWh, with the first phase commissioned in July 2025. Developed by China Huadian, with plans to expand to 1,000 MW.

  8. Moss Landing Energy Storage (USA, California, 450 MW)

    Located in Monterey, California, Moss Landing has a capacity of 450 MW and 1,800 MWh, expanded in 2024. Developed by Vistra with Tesla Megapack, it is one of the first large BESS in the USA.

  9. Manatee Energy Storage Center (USA, Florida, 300 MW)

    Located in Palmetto, Florida, Manatee has a capacity of 300 MW and 1,200 MWh, commissioned in 2021. Developed by Florida Power & Light, it is one of the first large projects on the US East Coast.

  10. Gateway Energy Storage (USA, California, 250 MW)

    Located in San Diego, California, Gateway with a capacity of 250 MW and 1,000 MWh was launched in 2024. Developed by LS Power with Tesla Megapack, it supports grid stability.
